Byond Financials assesses the ESG performance of entities (funds, companies, municipalities, states, etc.). Our ESG performance scores are based on 35 indicators that have been selected and weighted according to their importance and relevance to specific sectors. Each score provides a summary of the company’s ESG strategy, initiatives, results and management of potential controversies.
Byond Financials’ ESG ratings aim to measure an entity’s management of financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities. We use a rules-based methodology to identify industry leaders and laggards based on their exposure to ESG risks and how they manage these risks relative to their peers. Our ESG ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), medium (A, BBB, BB) to laggards (B, CCC). We also rate states.
The ESG performance of states refers to national statistics recognized by the IMF, the World Bank, and national statistical institutes.
